Putting the pieces together

We had another meeting with the Spanish teacher and her students about the I-Movie/PowerPoint multi-media projects that they are undertaking. Michael and I met with individual groups to discuss what they are working on and how their story ideas are coming. Students will be collaborating on this project and will be speaking in Spanish in an interview format type setup. We will probably be meeting with this class several more times to see what is feasible from a technology standpoint for the projects.
We have also been going to individual classrooms to physically setup computers for Parents night tomorrow. Michael has been downloading the district website informational talk that he recorded with the SMART Board software. He introduces the district website to the parents with a 10 minute guided talk. The SMART Board allows some cool things to take place from a technology standpoint. The teachers have been impressed with the visuals of Michael speaking and of not being able to see him in the presentation.
Michael is setting up the Internet safety video for Parents night. It was brought together, recorded, and streamed all by Michael. Seeing the video assembled from start to finish and being part of the process has been a pleasure. Seeing the amount of work that goes into this production, both from a technological standpoint and from a people standpoint, has been amazing.
